“Rhythm of Colours”
May 30 to June 2, 2017

Opening reception: Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Grange
(1921 Dundas Street West, Mississauga)

Heritage Mississauga is delighted to host a new art exhibit from Pak Pioneers.

Pak Pioneers Community Organization of Canada (PPCOC) is proud to present their first ever “Rhythm of Colours” Art Exhibition featuring Canadian female artists of Pakistani origin. This exhibit provides a platform to showcase their talents and creativity in art, and empowers and encourages women to pursue their passion and find avenues to express themselves. This exhibition will also promote/display the beautiful culture of Pakistan and Canada through various mediums. These talented artists have participated/exhibited their artwork in many exhibitions previously but are joining together for the first time to present this exhibition. This exhibition allows the artists to show the combination of vibrant colours, lifestyles and themes of the two countries and their cultures. PPCOC aims to facilitate and introduce new/upcoming artists to showcase their artwork by making such exhibitions a regular feature of its activities. Participating artists include: Khaula Mazhar, Shamaila Faizan, Nida Warsi, Saima Naveed, Jaweria Imran, Syeda Asiya Owais and Erum Abid.

Pak Pioneers is a not for profit charitable organization working voluntarily for community development in GTA, specially the South Asian community. PPCOC is dedicated to help and assist the people of every race, religion and culture, and provides various services to the community, with particular focus on engaging seniors, women and youth.

Free admission. The exhibit is open from Tuesday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm, and until 8 pm on Tuesday, May 30. Please contact Heritage Mississauga at 905-828-8411 ext.29.
