Doors Open Mississauga 2013
& Launch of The Grange Comic Book, Volume One!
The 10th Annual Doors Open Mississauga event is organized by the Culture Division of the City of Mississauga. Doors Open Mississauga will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2013, 10am to 4pm, at various venues across the City. 44 sites across the city are open free to the public.
Heritage Mississauga will be hosting exhibitors and tours at the historic Dixie Union Chapel and Cemetery on the day. As a feature of the Dixie Union Cemetery site for Doors Open will be a commemorative plaque unveiling at 10:30 am honouring militia veterans from the War of 1812 who are buried in this historic cemetery.
Other sites include the International Centre and the full-size replica of the AVRO Arrow (also featuring the launch of Heritage Mississauga’s new comic book - The Grange Volume One: Legend of the Arrow); Small Arms Building in Lakeview; Heritage House Dental; and Dixie Presbyterian Church, amongst many, many other venues.
